Appeal to the Governor

Even though the Illinois Department of Transportation has been asked by residents, churches, local businesses, park districts, school districts and the villages of Glen Ellyn and Lombard to consider putting in a 3-lane road, (one lane in each direction with a center two-way left-turn lane, left turn lane or median as appropriate), they have never seriously examined the possibility.  53 Neighbors United took advantage of the change in offices of Governor and Secretary of Transportation to appeal for three lanes to be seriously considered.  Around four hundred signatures were collected in support of this letter which was sent to the Governor and copied to the the Secretary of transportation.
